Kicking for Miracles 2019 in Western New York

Just the other day we received this wonderful plaque and thank you note from The Children’s Hospital of Buffalo Foundation thanking us for sponsoring an event called Kicking for Miracles. It’s a first for us and we are very proud to have been able to make our modest contribution. Kicking for Miracles is an annual event similar to a walk-a-thon, Kicking for Miracles is a board break-a-thon where 5000 boards are broken by students and instructors of Master Chong’s World Class Tae Kwon Do as family and friends watch. One hundred percent of the proceeds are donated to the hospital.

Hobby Spirit & Master Chong’s World Class Tae Kwon Do

It has been about a year now since my youngest daughter and I have joined Master Chong’s World Class Tae Kwon Do’s family. Besides breaking dozens of boards at the event, it has been a fulfilling journey as we’ve both grown through the practice of Martial Arts and it continues to permeate into all facets of our life. In turn I can compare it to  the slow evolution of Hobby Spirit, not just as a fledgling small business but as a part of the community as a whole and being part of something bigger. What I can say is that I am grateful for being able to take this journey and having had the opportunity to make this small contribution. I hope we have the fortune to be able to share more in the future and look forward to next year’s event to once again share our Spirit.
